- Thread-topic: Adding ProfileMaker Pro profiles to NewColor
<When I try to add a transmission profile created with
ProfileMaker Pro 4.15 to the NewColor software, the ICC profile shows up only in
"Reflective" section of the profile manager list. No matter what I do to the
profiles, they still show up only in the reflective section of the
ProfileManager in NewColor.Any ideas what I can try to get the profiles to be
recognized as transmission instead of reflective by NewColor
2.5?

Strange timing...Don Hutcheson's new scanning guide
(Updated April 2005) states that profles used with Linocolor or
Newcolor need to have the correct tag for reflection or transmission and
that some profile packages put in the wrong tag. Change the tag and you should
be good to go. I'm not too familiar with this specific tag, but you
might be able to accomplish this through the Colorsync utility
(?).
