Onyx Postershop and TIFF

  • Subject: Onyx Postershop and TIFF

Recently when trying to make a proof for an artist whose painting I'm
reproducing I dropped a TIFF in my Onyx Postershop hot folder and made a
proof.

Then I placed the same tiff in a template made in Quark that has color
bars and file info.

To my surprise the color came out different.

I checked several things to find out what the settings were and it seems
that I can't trust a TIFF imaged directly.

This is very distressing since the Monaco targets I've been using to
profile with are TIFFs.

Can anyone comment on this?

Do I need to reprofile everything and place the targets in Quark
layouts?
