I posted a query before as I'm a novice and want to implement a color
managament workflow in my office that has the Xerox Doc3535. After getting a
lot of input and research, Xerox only supports only 2 color management
packages. 1-The EFI Color Profiler (an optional client-based kit that
includes the EFI Spectrometer as well as advanced software (EFI Color
Profiler software). With this package color information can be measured
using individual patches or full strips of patches. The EFI Spectrometer can
also be used as a densitometer, measuring the day-to-day fluctuations of
printer inks and toners. Color calibration with the EFI Spectrometer will
compensate for these fluctuations.
It also lets you easily create simulation and output profiles with embedded
calibration information fully compatible with EFI¹s Fiery ColorWise®
Calibrator. Fiery owners can conveniently download profiles directly to the
Fiery.)
And, 2-Xrite's DTP41.
Is anyone using the EFI with any success? and what benefits has it over
X-rite's? It doesn't seem to come with monitor calibrator, which concerns
me.
Someone had suggested GMB's iQueue to help control Quark's poor color
management. Does anyone have any info./advice on this?
Thanks
