Yes, the blind assertion of absolutes doesn't take us anywhere, true. We
should let each participant in the discussion group decide for themselves
exactly who did what, and whether spending time assigning blame is even

Dan, this much wasn't exactly clear from your previous posts, but now that
you are stating it simply and clearly, I have no objections.

Oy oy! I smell a whiff of that nasty absolute stuff here. "Prove me wrong!"
is not a friendly stance, in my own humble opinion. I personally prefer to
say "This is what I know. This is how I prove it. Please let me know if you
have good reason to believe that I am mistaken, and why." Call me a
skeptical romantic, but belligerence is not conducive to the spirit of
shared research and cooperation that animates this discussion group.
