Hi Jon,
Others on the list will likely give you different perspectives on where best
to start for reading and learning about color management but one place you
will most certainly pickup a lot of information from is Real World Color
Management by Fraser et al. There's also Abhay Sharma good book you won't
want to be without. Color Management in MacOSX by Joshua Weisberg is another
title that comes to my mind, although it's never as informative as the first
two books above.
