While in concept the 8 vs 16 bit discussion is not a Colorsync issue, I found it extremely useful to learn how high end pros came down on both sides of the fence. I agree with Roger, that there is no reason to pound those posting to the thread. . . and especially no reason to use profanity on the list.

The world is intriguing because of diversity. Learning how others think helps us to better assist those whose goals may diverge from our field of view. The Colorsync list is a wonderful service to us so that in turn we may provide a professional service to others.

At the end of the day I want to go home knowing that I have met the customers' needs by not only contributing accurate support, but also listening to and achieving the goals those individuals have set for me. The dialogue in this list contributes toward that exercise.
