This would seem to be a clear and straightforward invitation ... But it is
not. For example, I already sent you an example (not PS generated, btw)
which should have jumped off the sheet, but it was instead qualified as a
rare move. Yes ... It was a rare move, but it was exactly the example that
so many of us have been confronted with, on occasion, which would imply
that, given no penalty, it would considered good technique to work with
highbits whenever possible. That is, any examp[le which jumps off the page
will be a rare move and less than in the tenth percentile of all images.
I'm a bit too lazy to quantify a project, and scrutenize to the Nth degree
whether it is worthy of highbits or not. If I chose 8bit and got burnt at
some Nth step in the process I'd be damn mad to have even considered what
you and Dan Margulis are suggesting. How 'bout you?
