What is happening to color in browsers? - Follow-up

Ah, I just figured it out.

I had tried all possible RGB profiles, except my monitor profile.

And that was it! The browsers display the image using the monitor profile!

Which is an even more unsettling discovery to make: how do I prepare these
images properly for viewing in browsers on unknown computers when each
viewer has a monitor profile different from mine?

I need advice. How do I work this out?

Thank you again.
