If you load the CMYK black channel as a grayscale profile, it
just uses the black ink's dot gain. The black generation parameters
for CMYK have no influence (it wouldn't work very well if they
did)!

Could be good, could be awful <g>. I'd certainly test the
waters and check the profile and it's generation of blacks. But the
option exists...
