Hi Nathan

no- but I don´t have to.

Just remember about the old days......<G>, there were tungsten films available (yes....back then steaks were still bigger and women were still friendly....).
These simply had more silver for the green and blue sensitve layers , so they could give more
"natural colors" with tungsten lighting. Step 2 of creative photography with fill in flash and tungsten film, was masking the flash with tungsten filters....

If you did not have a tungsten Film handy (which often was the case) and especially when you were shooting industry
reportages and switched from Inside to outside shots permanently, several tungsten filters with different colors
(for fluorescent, halogen and "daylight" tungsten) always lived in my Photobag.

It works, be assured ! To try out, just get you a small Kodak wratten(gelatine) Filter.
To be really cool, just take a look at Rosco (Film)Filter Products. There are about at least 20 different tungsten sorts to filter.
They sell small sample kits for some dollars.
You will be joyfully surprised about the difference. What works for good Cameramen should be working for Photographers also............

The only way to get over this is to use a blue compensation filter for
tungsten

Do you have any examples of this practice improving the s/n ratio significantly?
