I understand the principles at work here, I simply don't think that one
would derive a significant enough benefit to justify purchasing an array of
filters for their lenses in order to achieve very little beyond increasing
one's exposure times needlessly. If you're shooting in tungsten, odds are
good you have no control over the lighting, and odds are equally good that
there's not much of it around, so you're skirting both underexposure and
motion blur thresholds as it is. In these situations, slapping a blue filter
in front of the lens is probably going to make your shots worse rather than
better. Unless you can provide some proof that this approach would reduce
noise to a degree beyond what can be achieved with popular and ubiquitous
noise reduction applications and plugins every digital photographer should
already own, I'll stick with the one-size-fits-all solution rather than
lugging tons of extra filters around.
