Yes. It's called the Pulse.
The Pulse has software on board that works with an optical encoder to track
instrument position during a scan so it knows exactly where it is and how
fast it's moving and whether or not it has scanned the correct data. The
encoder system allows the device to collect data from precisely the correct
location on the target and it does it with no wires and without touching the
media. On top of that, it color codes every row of the target so that you
can read your strips in any order, in either direction, and the system
figures it all out.
