Yes, that's also an idea. I suggested Andrew to use "Gammas", because
that's an option to check if the vcgt-curves are really active in the
system or if something went wrong loading the calibration curves.
"Gammas" updates the curves view without user intervention and shows
the current active calibration curves, so it's nice to check in
"realtime".
I think that Apple doesn't prohibit to upload the tiny example
application "Gammas". You'll find it here, if you don't need/want to
install the developer tools (30kB zipped file for Mac OS X):
