Title: Re: ColorSync inconsistency in iPhoto
John,
Ok, so you are saying that Nikon Adobe RGB 4.0.0.3000 is an EXIF tag. PS doesn’t ignore it when you uncheck that pref.

Also if I create a file in Adobe RGB working space in Photoshop and save it with said embedded profile then bring it into iPhoto and touch it, remember this file hasnt come within 10 yds of a camera, it does the same, it changes the embedded profile to Generic RGB without warning.
Surely this is not right?

Pete

Problem is, that image doesn't have a sRGB profile in it, just an EXIF flag.  Not the same thing.  There's a preference in Photoshop to ignore EXIF colorspace tags.  In Image Capture you can set which profile if any is embedded in images downloaded from cameras.
