This should work, provided that the colourshift introduced in the
lamination process is the same every time. Likely the amount of shift
will depend on both laminate material as well as temperature and time
exposed to heat so process control is pretty important.
It woudl probably be a good idea to have 3-4 targets laminated a few
days apart and measure, compare and average these for best results.
