Thanks again to Do and Eric for their helpful tips. It was our experience
after installing the Pro4000 drivers through out the lab that remote
clients were not able to see the Pro4000 canned profiles in Photoshop's
"Print w/ Preview" window. They simply did not show up.
Epson tech support said the profiles were "hidden" and that the printer had
to be physically connected to access them, which was exactly the behavior
we were experiencing. When pressed on the "remote client" issue, they
replied it was a "bug" and were working on it. Obviously, the correct
response ought to have been the one that you and Son Do have provided.
To be honest we had not been using the color sync utility, but rather just
had students selecting their output profiles directly from Photoshop's PwP
window. Up until our 4000 printer purchase, that workflow had served us
well. Obviously I should spend some "quality time" with the Colorsync
Utility soon. Thanks again for the help!
