What about "channel independence" and linearity? I always thought that LCD's
linearity were never as good as CRTs? Also, I never the chance to test the
channel independence of LCDs as compared with CRTs. But those two things are
making me favor LUT over matrix/TRC profiles for LCDs, intuitively.
