Can you elaborate please.
In Photoshop, using spot channels, I created swatches
of Pantones. In Illustrator I just made some squares
and filled them with Pantone colors.

On the monitor, they are not quite identical, but
close.
I trust my monitor calib because I can do softproofing
pretty accurately

I just use Coated Pantone Solids. I don't know what
you mean by tint. How do I compare solids?

But, it would not print correctly if I don't save as
DCS2, How else should I save it?
