a method that yields pretty good success. Essentially, I scanned a
Hutchcolor scanner target and then the Duratrans using my BetterLight setup
in the studio. They were taped to clear plastic and I made sure that the
lighting was even and the same for both, masking around the subjects to
control flare wherever necessary. I assigned the scanner profile I obtained
from the target to the Duratrans and then converted it to be printed it on
an Epson printer to obtain reflective patches to read back into my
profiling software. One has to pay attention to balancing white points and
to use absolute intent where necessary, but the darn thing works well
enough to use reliably.
