The Imacon doesn't have ICE
Haven't used one personally, but the software does have an automatic dust
removal feature called FlexTouch and is capable of spitting out all the
"retouching" to a separate Photoshop layer should you find any of its
effects disagreeable.
Vuescan has a similar layer that can be saved by choice with the scan or
not. Using the Nikon (and Minolta, Epson 4870-4990 etc) infrared dust
detection. No ICE but similar in hardware/software cooperation. The few
descriptions of FlexTouch makes me wonder whether it is using extra
hardware to actually detect dust and scratches on the film surface or
whether it is working on the scan information only. There's more of that
available in Polaroid's free Dust and Scratch removal software and a
similar PS feature + plug-ins. They are not like ICE.
