Nevermind.... apparently I had to do it 11 times. The only thing
different I did was put the device on the calibration patch....
must've missed that one in the instruction pdf file. Sorry for the
rant again.
Cheers
Mike
Last night, I tried to install the Firmware update to the X-Rite
Pulse. I got a couple of errors and now the device seems to be hosed.
I installed ToolCrib, downloaded the FW and followed the procedure
to install the FW. It got as far as erasing the ROM file. When it
started to install the new FW, it locked up and said that there was
an error writing the flash sector or something like that. I
disconnected the device, plugged it in and tried it again (actually
about 10 more times). Now the first thing it says when I connect to
it is that the device is stuck in boot block mode and I will have
limited functionality.
Anyone else have this problem, or am I screwed. I really don't have
the kind of time (or money) to send this back just to have them
reset the FW that should have loaded without a problem in the first
place.
If anyone has any suggestions, I would love to hear them.
Thanks all, sorry about the rant.
Mike
