Apple PDF's and Illustrator.

If I open an OS X spool pdf with Illustrator, it gives me the old "The RGB document does not have an embedded profile" routine.

Both PitStop Pro and hand hacking on my part agree that there is a profile there. Does anyone know what the problem is ?
