Hi Don, < colors beyond the range of a typical IT8 transparency are handled smoothly without losing saturation.> True for perceptual, but with not so much using rel col. Take the blues for example…Using a GM profile with the Colorful gamut mapping option, I get these CMYK after conversion for a particular Blue value in your RGBexplorer (R24, G71, B214): Perceptual C93, M60, Y0, K0 RelCol C81, M48, Y0, K0 Using a Monaco 4.7 profile I get Perceptual C99, M76, Y0, K6 RelCol C100, M79, Y0, K3 Why is it that so much blue saturation is lost with GM/Colorful/relcol? I’m not trying to pick on Profile Maker, but I use relcol for the majority of my separations. mike
