Dear All,
As I´m new to the list I´ll introduce myself briefly,
I´m a photographer / graphic designer working out of Goteborg, Sweden, since
almost 15 years, 39 years old, and since introduced to color management
problem-solving, going on 70!
I have an Eye-One Photo, only capable of creating profiles for "RGB"
printers, this has been OK up ´til now, when I have to gather measurement
data from CMYK targets for a new RIP. I have thought about upgrading the i1
to CMYK capabilities or get Profile Maker, then it struck me that I have a
license of Profiler Pro from Color Vision, I bought it a few years back
together with a Color Mouse but quickly got fed up with single patch
reading.
If memory serves me the Color Mouse was supported by a Mac OS9 app from
colorsavvy??
Here is the question;
Is it possible to use i1´s strip reading features to get the measurement
data in tab-form to Profiler Pro?
What program should I use in that case?
Please not that I only need a program to "vacuum" in the readings from
printed targets, not to calculate the profile, as Profiler Pro will do this.
Is this an option at all to me??
SETUP:
G5 / Mac OSX 10.3.8 / GMB i1 / Profiler Pro
Any light shed on this dilemma will be much appreciated!
Regards
Magnus
