Title: RE: display profiles
Hi Dennis,
Is it possible that when you drag the display profile from one location to another; the Mac OS X system loses it's connection to that profile and defaults to generic? Make sure that the Displays system preference panel has the correct monitor profile selected as the system profile. Also check the colorsync utility and make sure the settings are correct there as well. I have also seen odd occasions where the rights permissions are incorrect in one folder or another and files within those folders become essentially invisible to the system. This often happens when the user creates or recreates a system or library level folder that was inadvertently deleted or moved. Use the BatchMod utility to ensure that your folder permissions are set correctly and repair permissions with the Disk Utility.

Subject: display profiles
I just discovered something and want to know why it happens. When I
take monitor profiles and put them in the Display folder in the
Colorsync folder, images shift dramatically to red. When I put them in
the colorsync folder, but not in the Display folder, they look perfect
great. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Dennis Stein
