That's stuff is obsolete for me. Unless I'm grossly missing something.

I'm not sure bout VectorPro, but the Quark Xtension is availble for versions 5 and 6 and will covert named colors to the correct color managed values whether they're coming from Quark itself or included in Illustrator EPS files that are placed in the Quark document.
