I agree and would add,

Even with TVI and opacity in the equation we still cannot determine how the
ink will wet trap (overprint wet inks) adding yet another layer of
complexity. Since an ink's wet trap characteristics directly affect the
opacity and TVI of that ink (and other inks in the mix) when it traps, we
must also know this to accurately predict overprint behavior.

However, we could have some success predicting dry trap with only TVI &
opacity in the absence of a HiFi profile incorporating the spot.
