I think this will work to "fool the system" but you'll have to test it out
(I don't have capture).
I went into Photoshop's color settings. Adobe RGB (1998) is loaded. I
clicked on "Save RGB" and saved it with the name "Generic RGB Profile icc. "
and saved it to the desktop. You can't save into the main Library folder. I
moved that profile into the Main Library (original Generic RGB Profile is
moved out). Authenticate to move the profile into place.
I opened the same untagged image in Preview and also Photoshop. They match.
In Photoshop I used "Load RGB" to load the original Generic RGB profile. The
preview looks different than Preview. When I soft proof using Adobe RGB
(1998), the soft proofs match. So I *think* this fools the system into using
Adobe RGB (1998) or whatever Matrix profile you use with the original name.
