Sorry I had to rename this thread.

Mark,

The issue may not be so much the EyeOnePro instrument itself as much as the
*software* supporting it. I'm saying this because I am testing an excellent
upcoming piece of software by BabelColor which litterally makes the
EyeOnePro stands on it's tail. So I am not sure that the issue you describe
which I've also personally encountered countless times, is stricly a
function of the hardware, which I'm told is quite capable on its own,
technically.

FYI, this new BabelColor update is going to boast an unprecented (never seen
this personally in any set of affordable colorimetric analysis tools) set of
viewing environment analysis tools designed around ISO-3664, and more! It
includes full *accurate* CRI reporting *plus* the latest CIE daylight
simulator quality rating that, when combined with CRI data, paints a full
assessment of viewing conditions. I'm trying to find a little bit of time
here to report on my GTI booth and my Just-Normlicht ColorControl lamps
using BabelColor new tools. Hope to do that soon.

This is going to be nothing less than an important milestone in the recent
historical development of color management, an upgrade worth its weight in
gold -- I'm not kidding, for a anyone genuinely interested in probing all
aspects of lighting conditions for the purpose of viewing color critically.

More later...
