I believe some of the profiling programs let you measure drift (change
since last measurement).  It would make sense to start by calibrating
frequently and charting the drift.  After several cycles you'll have
hard data to justify an optimal calibration frequency, though I have
no idea whether that will turn out to be daily, weekly, or monthly.
Why speculate when you can know for sure...
