The understanding I have from my limited knowledge is not only that the
overall brightness shifts in time in an average LCD display, but also that
the spectral signature resulting from both the backlight and the filters
shifts to varying degrees depending on make and model.
I have also read that apparently the better Eizo units go through a
robotically-supervised and thorough production process meant to ensure that
their built-in stabilizing mechanism produces more or less constant
brightness in their units throughout their useful life (i.e., 5 years, which
is the standard warranty period for both CG21 and CG220). Do they mean to
imply that the spectral signature of their units will remain stable as well?
Anyone with any insights on this?
Thank you.
