We bought a 4000 in April! The two saving graces are that we bought it
explicitly to be able readily change from PK to MK. We have a 7600 for
larger Matt only printing, and I like using ColorBurst. I'll have to
read all the opinion on how Epson is handling B&W.

Have any of the resident color gurus heard more about (or seen) the
new
Epson Stylus Photo R2400 than was noted in the press release this
week?
The Ultrachrome K3 inks with their expanded gamut, reduced bronzing
and
high-gloss microcrystal encapsulation appear to be a fantastic
advance.
Yes, as well as the new crop of 4800, 7800 and 9800, all with their 3
black
Ultrachrome K3 inks. Makes me sorry for having bought my 4000 last
december
:(
