If I may chime in here as a user of ColorEyes 20/20. With a camera
profile you are describing how that CCD handles various colors.
Building the profile has nothing to do with scene at the time of
profile creation. Then as your color of light changes you simply gray
balance if you want colors to be accurate or apply whatever tone you
want, as in the sunset shot. Are colors 100% accurate, of course not
but they are 95% accurate. I've used other camera profile packages and
ColorEyes by far does the best job, however I have not tried them all.
I shoot product on PhaseOne backs every day and our color editing was
drastically reduced when we implemented ColorEyes.
