through the check list of other possible issues, *that* is truly the
simple-minded approach.

The assumption in your posts on this issue is that users are largely idiots.
This is a very negative assumption indeed.
I would prefer to believe that users understand the principles of profile
making and are driven to consider paying out the extra's for an editing
package because there is no other option.
I would further suggest to you that the manufacturers are not idiots either
and would hardly go to the development expense needed to produce this option
unless they already knew that....
a: There was a commercial demand for such a product....and
b: There was a technical NEED of the same proportions.
I would even further suggest that if you were put to the test, you would
admit that if God had intended men to fly, he would have made them with
wings.
