The Curves dialog box behavior described by Abe in L*a*b* files also happens
in 8 bits, not just in 16 bits.
The values for L* are entered correctly (all the way from 0 to 100), whereas
for a* and b* the Curves dialog box enters correctly only values between
+127 and -99: any values *smaller* than -99 are entered only as -10, -11 and
-12.
Clearly, it appears that something went wrong in the programming.
I hope that Adobe is reading this list and will respond promptly to these
bug reports with a fix.
Is there an official way to report bugs directly to Adobe?
Thank you.
