In addition to the bug that Marco mentions, entering numeric values
above 2 digits in the curves dialog box in 16 bit LAB mode does
not work
correctly. Values are truncated to 2 digits, so that if you were to
click on a point and type "128" and hit the tab key, you will end up
with "12" and can only achiveve values above "99" by click on the
curve
with the mouse.
The Curves dialog box behavior described by Abe in L*a*b* files
also happens
in 8 bits, not just in 16 bits.
The values for L* are entered correctly (all the way from 0 to
100), whereas
for a* and b* the Curves dialog box enters correctly only values
between
+127 and -99: any values *smaller* than -99 are entered only as
-10, -11 and
-12.
Clearly, it appears that something went wrong in the programming.
I am unable to reproduce either problem. I can enter in numbers into
the input and output boxes without error.
