Hi Diana,
imho you are typical user for this kind of workflow, and i believe, that
with right profiles you can get great results and make very good proofs
for clients.
What about little test? If you send me exact description of your paper
(and if i can get same paper here), then we can both make linearization
through Color Base, and then i make ICC profile for you as i have 2400
in test now (free, of course, on best X-Rite equipment) ... lets prove
this concept:)

So it sounds like
it is best to stop making profiles
(with a borrowed
i1 spectrophotometer on my new R2400)
and perform this linearization process first?
I just used the i1 to make a profile for Epson
Enhanced Matte,
then I compared it, in Colorsync, to Epson's profile
for the same paper.
Epson's profile looks so much bigger.
I am a photographer,
and trying to learn as much of this as possible.
And while making the easiest workflo possible
for the best prints I can get, of course.
I assume that even if I go through all this,
that with the 2400,
I should/or shouldn't expect to deliver a match print
to clients?
Thanks to all of you,
for all your combined expertise!
Regards,
Diana
