Good to know that there is indeed a "No Color Adjustment" button. Thank you,
Bob, for pointing that out.
It's true that the PictureMate can print straight from a memory card, if one
wishes to do that. And for many that is enough for their needs.
But it can also print from one's CPU through a USB connection. So one has a
choice between the two methods.

As Andrew Rodney pointed out, a custom-sized test chart can be built using
ProfileMaker's Measure Tool. I would venture to guess that the PictureMate
would require an RGB test chart, like for example "TC2.83 RGB i1" (for the
EyeOne Pro). On 4"x6" sheets with a 0.25" border, the TC2.83 RGB chart would
require 7 prints, totaling 530 patches (a few of which are repeated in each
print).
It would be interesting to see how wide a print gamut would plot in
ColorThink from a profile created using this chart.
To some the idea of profiling a PictureMate may seem redundant or
unnecessary, given that it's not a professional-level device. But why
shouldn't even your snapshots look as good as they can, or at least look
just like you intend them to?
