Profiling shouldn't need to be done every day. In fact, if the daily
linearization calibration is done, it shouldn't need to be refreshed at all
unless Kodak or Fuji change their emulsion characteristics - something that
happens every few years, maybe.

A profile can be made for $100 instead of paying $10K for a
Spectrolino. (Easier to swallow.)
But if, as you say, you're profiling daily, then the a profiling device
pays for itself fairly quickly.
