Epson used to sell a parallel-to-ethernet adapter, which I used on my
1270 until I switched to USB. Perhaps they still offer this adapter.

the 2100 here in Australia and had no networking connection, just
parallel, USB and Firewire. Under OSX you can always share the printer
over the network. If you have a large network, or complex files,
consider the Pro4800 instead - the ink cost savings will work out
cheaper in the long run.
