Title: Re: gamut warning
Ok, thanks its all logical, it
just seems a little contradictory.
The question occurred to me as
I was standing over someone about to print a file using perceptual rendering
who, while watching the gamut warning disappear progressively, was busy
desaturating out of gamut colours. It just seemed a little paradoxical. I
wondered why Photoshop would show us out of gamut colours if we had selected
perceptual rendering. Its not like
the in gamut colours are going to print more accurately because youve bought in
the out of gamut colours. I guess
its just another oversight, like why black point compensation isnt greyed out
once you select perceptual rendering.
Thanks

Hello,
Can anyone explain
to me why Photoshop's of gamut warning shows out of gamut colours
after configuring soft proofing to perceptual?
Out of Gamut is out of gamut. The RI is just handling the Method to
manipulate those colors who are out of gammut,
If the RI would work theoreticaly correct you should see no change
between preview and no preview in the open Softroofing Dialog when Gamut
warning is allready activatet, when using the rel. colorimetric RI.
Whereas there should be a change between Preview and no preview by using
the perceptual RI.
