I am just curious, Lars, why do you think this is desirable?
A colorspace with a gamma of approximately 2.2 means that it is nearly
visually linear. This means that the digital steps give very smooth
tone graduations. A colorspace with a linear gamma will have many
graduations in the highlights and few in the shadows.
Just curious,
Ray
