That's a very different version of Spectraview than the one I have,
which is Spectraview II, was written by Will Hollingsworth of Mits,
and bears zero resemblance to BasICColor display.
At last I have had time to test the SpectraView II profiling program
with the SpectraView monitor. I'm happy to say that I didn't see the
problems with the grey ramps that I had when I made my first tries
profiling the monitor.
I've also made some new tests with SpectraView (a.k.a. Basiccolor 3).
Karl Koch from Basiccolor recommended that I changed the settings of
SpectraView to produce a matrix profile instead of the LUT profiles I
made on my first tries. And that change solved the problem. I will make
some more tests, but what I see now is rather amazing. Images with
saturated colors is so much better reproduced.
