maybe this is not "high end" solution at all, but i can recommend you try this "visual" tool:

Despite there are some limitations, this is interesting piece of SW; i get good results with Umax projector.

BTW, acc. to my past experiences with monitor profiling, i don't believe that Spyder2 results with projector will be great.. (my personal opinion)

you MUST
profile the "projector + screen + ambient lighting" combination every single
time, not just the projector.

Maybe Don was demonstrating how NOT to do it...
