Just to clarify a couple of items since there seems to be some confusion on this topic

The following NEC displays support 10 bit internal programmable LUTs:
LCD1980SXi (19")
LCD1980FXi (19")
LCD2180UX (21")
LCD2180WG-LED (21")

The "GammaComp" software that is available on the NEC website will set the internal 10 bit LUTs to a user definable curve (e.g. Gamma curve, DICOM curve, data table etc.) that is calculated based on the factory characterization of the display. This application is by no means intended as a professional color calibration solution but rather as a tool for specific applications that need custom LUT adjustment.

The "SpectraView" displays and kits are intended as full monitor color calibration solutions.

In the US and Canada, the above displays are available with the "SpectraView II" color calibration kit, either as a bundle (monitor + software + color sensor) or add-on package. The add-on kit is available either as software only, or as software + color sensor (Gretag iOne Display V2 based). The software is available for both Mac OS and Windows and was developed by NEC.

In Europe, the LCD2180UX is sold as as a bundle with "SpectraView Profiler" software (custom version of BasICColor) and is called "NEC SpectraView 2180". The LCD2180WG-LED is sold as the "SpectraView Reference 21", and the LCD1980SXi bundle is sold as the "NEC SpectraView 1980".

I hope that helps to clarify things.
