Gariba, the 6400 and 8400 are available in two versions, Dye (W8400D/
W6400D) and Pigment (W8400/6400PG). Colour gamut of the pigment
versions is not as great as Epson models as Epson mix dye & pigment
to create Ultrachrome and I believe K3. The Canon inks are pure
pigment. Gamut of the dye models is excellent and almost certainly
exceeds Epson. Friends here who use these machines for proofing have
a very high regard for them.
Most usefully, Canon have just launched new models with 12 inks and a
huge colour gamut, achieved without the need to change ink carts ( as
Epson do when changing media). The 60" model is named the imagePROGAF
900 and the 24" is, I gather, due to be launched shortly.
best, Nick
Anyone on the list using this two printers for proofing?
How they perform against Epsons and HP?
Thanks, gariba.
Atenciosamente, gariba.
