Roger, in answer to yoru questions:

Specifically, Eizo has improved color uniformity across the entire screen and also improved brightness uniformity. Keep in mind the CG220 is already an amazinig monitor...these are ways to tweak the already great.

CG221 has improvements that may benfit you...so more choices!
