Hi Roger,
You'll have to be patient there is obviously something , some factor, that
I am not seeing. Yet, what ever it is, its affecting three different
computers that I have tested .
After selecting absolute in colour conversion options, I created two new
RGB files with pure white backgrounds, one in Prophoto and the other in
Adobe 1998.
In CS 2 the info palette shows the ground as L*100, 0, 0, for both files.
In CS the info palette shows the ground of the Adobe 1998 documents as
L*100, -2, -19
But of course both files appear white in both cases.
Now I convert the Prophoto to Adobe 1998 and the Adobe 1998 to Prophoto
using absolute
In CS 2 both files remain white and the info palette shows L*100, 0, 0 after
the conversion .
In CS The Adobe file turns yellow and the Prophoto file turns bleu, while
the info palette shows the Adobe file as L*99, -5, -2 and the Prophoto file
as L*99, -3, -1
Are you getting different results?
Eugène
