Converting using Device Links

  • Subject: Converting using Device Links

A question for anyone who may be able to answer:

How is it that there is an AppleScript out there (called "Convert File Using
Device Link") that converts images using device links, but there is no way
to do that in Photoshop?

I may be missing something here, but that seems to me like a most peculiar
omission in what is undoubtedly meant to be a professional-level application
(not to mention the inability to preserve the black channel and/or channel
purity in CMYK-to-CMYK profile conversions, and other annoyances that are
beyond the scope of this message).

Regards.
