Pre-linearization is what you are mentioning there. Yes, I certainly wish
there was a way to apply that procedure in ProfileMaker (which is the
software I have). Is there?

Are you sure? I heard it was considered and then abandoned just before the
release of the latest upgrade, but maybe there's still a way to hack it.

We'll see what will happen now that XRite and Gretag Macbeth are one and the
same. Maybe a "monster profiling app" will come out, and all current owners
of Monaco and ProfileMaker CM software will be able to upgrade and get the
best of both worlds? One can always dream...
